SPAR: Stocktake Clerk Permanent Position Available at Plattekloof (Cape Town). SPAR IS looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Stock Take Clerk to join their Floor Department at Plattekloof SPAR. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting accurate stock control, inventory management, and stock-taking processes to ensure optimal stock accuracy and availability.

Minimum requirements
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- A relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
- Computer literacy and basic proficiency in relevant computer systems
- Must be able to read and write fluently
- Good numerical and basic administrative skills will be an advantage
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in using electronic scanning equipment and stock control systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when counting, recording, and reconciling stock
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take initiative
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inventory levels and identify stock and supplies that require replenishment
- Identify, record, and report damaged inventory
- Document, maintain, and continuously improve stock control and production procedures
- Monitor product expiry dates and ensure stock is within the required shelf-life range
- Ensure accurate counting and recording of stock in accordance with established procedures
- Reconcile stock received against invoices and ensure all relevant documentation is verified and signed off by both parties
- Assist with warehousing activities as required
- Assist with the preparation and completion of daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes
- Complete daily stock counts and maintain accurate stock-holding reports
- Monitor and report daily stock transfers
- Provide daily administrative support and reports to the Stock Take Supervisor/Manager
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all stock control processes and procedures
- Train and supervise merchandisers on stock control procedures and best practices
