Minimum Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting the hospital’s food-service operations.
Key duties include:
Preparing and serving food to patients according to required health and hygiene standards.
Working shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required.
Helping ensure the effective and economical running of the food-service unit.
Using kitchen equipment and other apparatus correctly to reduce damage and breakages.
Placing internal requisitions using VA2 forms according to prescribed schedules.
Assisting with the receiving of internal and external stock.
Checking the quality and quantity of stock received.
Packing supplies in the appropriate storage areas.
Following the prescribed cleaning programme.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within food preparation and storage areas.
A fully completed and signed new Z83 application form.
A detailed and updated CV.

Parts A, C and D must be completed.
The question relating to professional or occupational registration may be left blank where the applicant’s profession does not require official registration.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Human Resources Unit and may be required to submit certified copies of qualifications and other supporting documents. These documents should generally not be older than six months when requested.
